DAVID Gough has been appointed manager of Aberaman Athletic with effect from Tuesday May 18. A former player for last season's Welsh League champions, Gough is a Uefa A badge coach who was formerly with Merthyr Tydfil and Clevedon Town. Gough takes over from Lee Williams, who has been in charge since ex-Wales international Leighton James stepped down in March. "With the close season almost upon us the work for next season will begin immediately with some new work being planned at the ground and, of course, David will begin in earnest to build a team ready for the challenges that lie ahead next season," says a statement from the club. |
