AFAN Lido took over at the top of the Welsh League on Tuesday night with a 3-0 home win over Caerau Ely.Former Llanelli midfielder Andrew Mumford (pictured) scored his first goal for the club since moving from Stebonheath Park in the summer with a 28th-minute header from a Ceri Morgan corner. Matt Herman added the second before half-time with a deflected effort that wrong-footed the visiting keeper. The victory was sealed in the 71st-minute when another ex-Red, Craig Jones, turned a Gavin Jones cross into the Ely net. On Wednesday night, Taffs Well and Aberaman Athletic shared nine goals with the hosts emerging the winners 5-4. |
