CAMBRIAN & Clydach went top of the Welsh League with a 7-1 demolition of reigning champions Goytre United. The Rhondda outfit, who host Prestatyn Town in the Welsh Cup, fired a warning to their Welsh Premier opponents as they took over leadership from Afan Lido, who had beaten Caerau (Ely) in midweek. Third-placed Bridgend Town were held to a goal-less draw at newly-promoted Cwmbran Celtic, while Bryntirion Athletic went fourth after a 4-1 away win at struggling Caldicot Town. Barry Town were held to a 1-1 draw by another promoted club, Penrhiwceriber Rangers. |
