CAMBRIAN and Clydach Vale maintained their leadership of Welsh League Division One after they made it five wins in a row to defeat Bryntyrion Athletic 3-2. Michael Jones was the Cambrian hero, netting twice, with Ian Turner and Ricky Hodge replying for the hosts. Sam Small fired a hat-trick as Aberaman Athletic went fourth with a 5-0 victory over West End, Liam Beattie and Solomon Taylor adding the other goals. But title hopefuls Afan Lido were held 1-1 at home by recently-promoted Cwmbran Celtic, who levelled through Craig Sheedy after Mark Jones had given Lido the lead. Defending champions Goytre United were also held to a 1-1 draw at Taffs Well. |
