AFAN Lido missed the chance to pull eight points clear at the top of the Welsh League as they went down 2-1 at Bryntirion Athletic on Friday night. Ricky Hodge gave the hosts a flying start with a first-minute goal, with Paul Evans adding another from the penalty spot five minutes before half-time. Lido did pull a goal back, but ended the game with 10-men after Carl Evans was shown a straight red card on 88 minutes. The victory lifted Athletic into third place, five points behind their opponents with two games in hand. |
