| Lido drop home points to Bridgend |
| Friday 26 November 2010 |
ON an important night for two teams seeking promotion to the Welsh Premier League, Afan Lido and Bridgend Town shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Marstons Stadium. The visitors broke the deadlock with a goal from ex-Port Talbot striker Richard Ryan on 25 minutes, but the hosts drew level on 72, when Mark Jones scored from the penalty spot. Neither side could find a winning goal to claim all three points and Lido were left to rue the fact that recent signings Sam Small and Jon Kift were both unable to play after being snowed in at home, along with manager Kim Bowley. Lido's lead at the top is extended to four points, with second-placed Cardiff Corries and Cambrian & Clydach both having four games in hand. |
