FOUR games in Welsh League Division One included a 1-1 draw for second-placed Cambrian & Clydach at Caldicot Town.The Rhondda side are three points behind leaders Afan Lido, but have three games in hand, while Cardiff Corries are third after thumping seven-times Welsh Premier champions Barry Town. Bridgend, who have been boosted by the return of Raith Plant, cemented fourth place with a 2-1 win away to Pontardawe Town. Plant (poictured), who scored five goals from 14 (+18) top flight appearances for Cwmbran Town, Llanelli and Barry, joins a Brewerymen's team chasing promotion to the Welsh Premier. But they have lost striker Robbie Waters to Goytre United, while Jamie Bradford has signing for Haverfordwest County. Cwmbran Celtic smashed six past Taffs Well in the other league game played. |
