WITH only one game played in Welsh League Division One, Bryntirion Athletic took advantage to go third with a 7-0 hammering of Cwmbran Celtic.Ricky Hodges grabbed four goals and, when Cwmbran keeper Nicky Church (pictured) was sent off for bringing down Jonathan Cuss in the box, Paul Evans scored from the penalty spot. Cuss and Anthony Rawlings added further goals to complete the seven-goal haul, which leaves Bryntirion three points behind leaders Afan Lido with three games in hand, and only one adrift of Bridgend who have played two games more. In the only other game played in the entire Welsh League, Grange Quins fought out a 3-3 draw with UWIC, who host Bala Town in next weekend's Welsh Cup fourth round. |
