WELSH League leaders Bryntirion Athletic saw their exceptional 10-match winning streak ended at Goytre United, where Jacob Daly's 16th-minute goal for the hosts was cancelled-out by Tomos Wellington (pictured) in the second half in a 1-1 draw. But second-placed Afan Lido were unable to capitalise and lost ground as they went down 3-1 at Cambrian & Clydach after leading through Andrew Mumford's 25-yarder. The Rhondda outfit hit back with three second-half goals and held out despite finishing the game with 10-men. Cardiff Corries slip to fifth after a humiliating 7-0 defeat at the hands of Caerau (Ely) while Barry Town were shocked 2-0 at home by lowly Caldicot Town who grabbed only their third win of the campaign. Goals from Luke Harris and Gary Taylor handed Pontardawe a 2-1 win over Aberaman, who led at half-time through a Jon Phillips effort. Penrhiwceiber put four past fellow strugglers West End with Greg Hewitt, Sean Brown, Matthew Reynolds and Josh Keepings the goal heroes. |
