AFAN Lido moved closer to the promotion places in Welsh League Division One with a 3-0 win at reigning champions Goytre United on Friday night.Nathan White (pictured) drew first blood in the ninth minute and a well-taken Andrew Mumford free-kick doubled the lead just before half-time, White adding his second on 76 minutes to complete the win. A 4-1 home win for Cambrian & Clydach on Saturday at the expense of lowly Garden Village took the Rhondda outfit back to 12 points behind leaders Bryntirion Athletic, with three games in hand. Taffs Well are sixth after winning 2-1 at home to Barry Town, while Cardiff Corries are one place higher despite losing 2-1 at strugglers Caldicot Town. Cwmbran Celtic lost 2-1 at home to West End, while Caerau (Ely) were held 2-2 at home by Pontardawe Town. |
