 PROMOTION hopefuls Afan Lido and Bridgend Town were in Macwhirter Welsh League action on Friday night and with differing results.Lido ended Bryntirion Athletic’s 14-game unbeaten run with a 1-0 victory at the Marstons' Stadium thanks to a Nathan White goal after only three minutes. Bryntirion had a great opportunity to equalise on 18 minutes but Lido’s keeper Chris Curtis saved well from a Paul Evans penalty. Aberaman Athletic and Bridgend gained a point each in a goal-less draw at Aberaman Park, a result which ended Aberaman’s four-game streak without a win.
