BRYNTIRION Athletic returned to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 win over bottom-placed Garden Village at Bryntirion Park on Wednesday night.Club captain Paul Evans (pictured) scored the winner 15 minutes from time when he side-footed home a cross from Anthony Rawlings. This victory followed last week's defeat at Afan Lido which ended Bryntirion's 14-game unbeaten run, and increases their lead over Lido at the top of Division One to 13 points, although their rivals have three games in hand. On Tuesday night, Barry Town were 3-1 winners at home to Penrhiwceiber Rangers with goals from Kurt Bettles, Michael Hartley and Lewis Cosslett. |
