| Sunday 10 April 2011 |
AFAN Lido's title hopes were dealt a blow when they dropped two points in a 2-2 home draw with Barry Town at the Marston's Stadium. The hosts were dealt a crucial blow in the 23rd minute when goalkeeper Chris Curtis (pictured) saw red for a blatant foul as Barry threatened to score. Replacement keeper Aaron Ryan's first task was to pick the ball from the back of the net after Ryan Jenkins’ scored from the resulting penalty and, despite goals from Nathan White and Sam Small, the visitors secured a point through Scott Jones. The result dropped Lido into third place as Cambrian & Clydach moved above them on goal difference with a 6-0 thumping of Penrhiwceiber Rangers. Leaders Bryntirion Athletic are 12 points clear, edging a seven-goal affair at Cardiff Corries, while Pontardawe Town are in fourth place after a 2-0 home win over Taffs Well. |
