Lido win at Barry to cement second spot
Tuesday 19 April 2011
Andrew MumfordGOALS from former Llanelli duo Andrew Mumford in the 40th-minute and Mark Jones after 74 strengthened Afan Lido's promotion bid in a 2-0 win at Barry Town on Tuesday night.
The Jenner Park hosts went down to 10-men after 35 minutes when Lewis James was red-carded and, within five minutes, Lido were a goal to the good from Mumford's ninth of the season.
An error from the home keeper helped Jones double the lead and move eight points clear of third-placed Cambrian & Clydach.
In the night's other games, Penrhiwceiber Rangers beat Garden Village 4-1, while Pontardawe Town overcame Caldicot Town 1-0.
