RELEGATED from the Welsh Premier last season, Haverfordwest County made a superb start on the comeback trail with a 4-0 home win over Aberaman Athletic.Richard Ryan opening the scoring in the first-half and added his second with a 20-yard lob. Chris O'Sullivan added a penalty with sub A J Galdo completing the rout. Reigning champions Bryntirion Athletic also got off to a winning start, proving too strong for Bridgend Town with a 2-0 win in the Friday night game. Last season's high-flyers Cambrian & Clydach won 3-0 at newly-promoted AFC Porth, Barry Town got a 1-0 win at Caerau (Ely), new boys Ton Pentre won 3-0 at Taffs Well while West End were 2-0 home winners over Pontardawe Town. Another promoted side, Cwmaman Institute, celebrated a 3-1 success at Cwmbran Celtic, but former champs Goytre United were held 3-3 at home by Cardiff Corries.
