THE likelihood of a promotion aspirant from Welsh League Division One finishing in the top two is receding after the leading duo, neither of whom have applied, both recorded victories.Port Talbot youth academy product Jason Bertorelli claimed all four goals as Cambrian & Clydach beat reigning champions Bryntirion Athletic 4-0. Cwmbran Celtic followed-up last weekend's win over Bridgend Town with a second-half fightback to win 2-1 at West End. Last season's relegated Welsh Premier club, Haverfordwest County, lost 3-1 at Taffs Well, who finished the game with nine men, while AFC Porth drew 2-2 at home to Pontardawe Town. But the shock result of the weekend came on Friday night when big-spenders Bridgend Town lost 2-0 at home to bottom club Caerau (Ely). Photo: Jason Bertorelli hit all four of Cambrian's goals. |
