ENTO Aberaman maintained their bid for promotion to the Welsh Premier with a 2-1 home win over Afan Lido.Goals from Jon Phillips and Richard Ryan (pictured) secured the success as the hosts moved within two points of the Welsh League qualifying places, with games in hand on all the sides above them. Honours ended even in the top of the table clash, with reigning champions Goytre United held to a 1-1 draw by title-chasing Bettws. Paul Jones fired Bettws into the lead after 22 minutes, only for Ian Morgan to level matters six minutes later as the visitors remain on top of Division One. Former champions Ton Pentre crushed Croesyceiliog 6-2 at Ynys Park, Ian Jones leading the way with a hat-trick. Bridgend Town edged out Bryntirion Athletic 2-1 with both their goals coming from Anthony Waters. |
