| Portuguese makes ENTO debut |
| Tuesday 07 April 2009 |
A FORMER Portuguese League striker, Cuvilito Salgado Gomes, made his debut for ENTO Aberaman in their 1-1 Welsh League draw against Cardiff Corries on Saturday. The 28-year-old frontman has played for CDP and Elvas in his native country and signed for Aberaman in January after a chance meeting with manager David Morgan. After coming on as a substitute, Gomes had a chance to score for the hosts, but his weak shot was easily dealt with by Corries’ goalkeeper Mike Lewis. Chasing promotion to the Welsh Premier, ENTO must play eight fixtures this month, plus another three in May, as they chase a top-two finish. They still have to play their biggest rivals Goytre United twice and the first of those is at Aberaman Park on Saturday. |
