ENTO Aberaman moved within six points of a top two finish in the Welsh League, which would qualify for promotion to the top flight, subject to meeting ground criteria.The Aberdare outfit beat Cambrian & Clydach 3-0 with goals from ex-Welsh Premier marksman Chris Summers, former Newport and Llanelli midfielder John Phillips and a late volley from Dean Morris. Reigning champions Goytre United kept up the pressure with a 4-0 away win at Cwmbran Town, to remain two points behind ENTO in third place, with a game in hand. Fourth-placed Bettws came unstuck at Pontardawe, losing 3-0. Leaders Barry Town wrap-up their campaign in midweek by entertaining Newport YMCA, with ENTO playing Ton Pentre. |
