| Thursday 07 May 2009 |
GOYTRE United came from 3-1 down with 15 minutes remaining to gain an astonishing 5-3 victory over title rivals ENTO Aberaman at Glenhafod Park on Wednesday night.Defending champions Goytre now head Aberaman by one point going into their remaining two fixtures. Dean Morris (pictured) struck twice for Aberaman during the first half but a Steve Conaty goal kept Goyts in contention. And, when Richard Ryan netted against his former club in the 75th minute to make it 3-1, a victory for the visitors looked on the cards. But the hosts showed battling spirit and Robbie Walters reduced the arrears in the 80th minute. Ian Morgan then pounced for an equaliser, Daniel Thomas grabbed the fourth from a Dale Price pass and Jacob Daley rounded-off the fightback by completing the scoring in the 89th minute. |
