CWMBRAN Town have denied reports that the club has applied to move away from their Cwmbran Stadium home. There have been suggestions that the inaugural 1992-93 League of Wales champions wanted Torfaen County Borough Council to relocate them to another part of the town in time for the 2009-10 McWhirter Welsh League campaign. However a club spokesman today said: “The club has not asked to be relocated and is looking forward to playing at Cwmbran Stadium for the foreseeable future.” Cwmbran will start next season in Division Two of the Welsh League following relegation. |
