RELEASED by Neath at the end of last season, striker Richard French has joined Welsh League outfit Goytre United.A former Cardiff City youth, French (pictured) has scored 17 goals from 60 Welsh Premier appearances for Barry Town, Newtown, Port Talbot and the Eagles. A product of the Newport Hartridge School academy, French has also played for Cinderford Town and will link-up at Glenhafod Park with another ex-Steelman, Richard Ryan, who has returned to the Goyts after leaving for Aberaman in January. Goytre have lost strike duo Robbie Walters and Daniel Thomas to Haverfordwest and Port Talbot respectively during the close season. |
