Tomi hoping for a Welsh Cup tonic

Tomi MorganPORTHMADOG manager Tomi Morgan is hoping for a Welsh Cup tonic when his side host minnows Rhydymwyn in the Welsh Cup on Saturday.
A dire season got even worse for the league's bottom club with a midweek home exit from the League Cup at the hands of Rhyl, while opponents Rhydymwyn are top of the Welsh Alliance and eliminated Cymru Alliance outfit Caernarfon in the previous round.
"The Welsh Cup is a big cup and it will be nice to stay in a competition after going out of the League Cup to Rhyl," Morgan (pictured) told the Caernarfon Herald.
"Rhydymwyn are doing well in their league and are worthy of our respect, but it’s a tie we’ll be expected to win and we are determined to do so."
Key defender Mike Foster will miss-out for Port after tweaking a hamstring against Rhyl.
Llanrug United have a massive task at Bala Town's Maes Tegid and didn't enjoy the ideal preparation by going down 3-0 at Rhydymwyn last weekend.
Llanrug have played both Llanelli and Bangor City in recent years and were far from disgraced in 5-3 and 2-0 defeats.
"If we play like we did against Llanelli against Bala, then we must have some sort of chance," said United boss Aled Owen.
Caersws manager Mickey Evans is backing Hugh Clarke to “play through the pain” when Wrexham League minnows Coedpoeth United visit the Recreation Ground.
"Clarkey is struggling with a knock but he’s the type of character that would play with two broken feet so he will be ready," says Evans, who has warned his side against complacency against the Wrexham League minnows, who knocked out Llansanffraid Village in the previous round.
"They will be treating this match like a cup final and we must be wary of an upset.
"As the Welsh Premier side all the pressure is on us to progress."
