Tom BillingHAVERFORDWEST boss Derek Brazil is ringing the changes at the New Bridge Meadow and has made his fifth signing of the January transfer window.
Returning to the club after an absence of 10 years is six foot five inches tall striker Tom Billing (pictured), who has scored six goals in 20 league appearances for County, Aberystwyth and Cwmbran Town.
After university, Billing transferred to the Seasiders in November 2005, but left to join Merthyr Tydfil the following summer and was later dual registered with Newtown while playing at Pontypridd.
Brazil, who has signed Mark Dodds from Carmarthen and Tom Ramasut from Aberaman, has also added former Aberystwyth midfielder Josh Hartrick from Newport County and defender Ross Jones, on-loan from Llanelli.
But to make way for the new faces, out go striker Robbie Walters, experienced defender Damon Searle and ex-Neath wingman Jarrod Price.
Lying twelth in the table, Brazil admits the first half of the season has not been good enough.
"That's why I've brought in experience in the form of Dodds, Ramasut and Billing, who is a different kind of player to what we had at the club.
"I thought long and hard about releasing Robbie Walters, but Robbie, Jack (Christopher) and Woody (Nicky Woodrow) are all similar kind of strikers and I had to make a decision as to who out of the three would be the most effective, and to me that is Woody and Jack.
"Tom Billing is a different kind of player, he's tall and holds the ball up well. Robbie did well for us, he scored nie goals, but I felt that we had to move in a different direction."
Brazil, who has also been able to extend the loan deal defender Jamie Grimes from Swansea City, added: "The season starts now, I've said to the players that it is down to them."
