| Sully returns to the Bridge Meadow |
| Wednesday 20 January 2010 |
WINGER Chris O'Sullivan is back at Haverfordwest County. The 26-year-old left the New Bridge Meadow at the end of season 2007/8 to go to New Zealand and, since his return, has been played for Pembrokeshire League outfit Merlin's Bridge. O'Sullivan flitted between Aberystwyth Town and Haverfordwest until sidelined by injury in 2003/4 while at Park Avenue. He signed again for the Bluebirds before season 2005/6 but his final season at the club was hampered by injury. An accomplished amateur boxer who is a former Welsh ABA lightweight champion, O'Sullivan scored 11 goals from 84 Welsh Premier appearances during his previous time in the top flight. He is the third former Bluebird to rejoin the squad in the January transfer window, following in the footsteps of Tom Ramasut and Tom Billing. "We are delighted that Chris has agreed terms," says a County spokesman. "There were a number of clubs after him and his decision to come here, along with the decisions of the other recent signings, shows that there is a desire for quality players to play for Haverfordwest County." |
