| Harris injury blow for Newtown |
| Thursday 28 January 2010 |
NEWTOWN'S new midfield signing Richie Harris is almost certainly out for the remainder of the season. Six minutes into his Robins' debut after signing from Technogroup Welshpool, Harris was stretchered-off against Elements Cefn Druids and the injury has now been diagnosed as torn knee ligaments. After being released from hospital he has been referred to the club's physiotherapist and will see a specialist about the injury. The blow leaves little time to find a replacement with the transfer window closing at the end of the month, and manager Darren Ryan thwarted in his bid to sign John Leah from Rhyl.
