Striker Hunt returns to Farrar Road
Monday 01 February 2010
Lee HuntRHYL striker Lee Hunt has left Belle Vue for the second time to rejoin Bangor City, who lost Chris Sharp to TNS last week.
A controversial but consistent marksman, 28-year-old Hunt first arrived in the domestic league with the Citizens from Helsby during the summer of 2002.
After switching to Rhyl in December 2003, he attracted the interest of Football League clubs and was named in the Welsh Premier dream teams of both 2005 and 2007.
But he requested a transfer and moved to Barrow AFC in May 2008 after claiming he was being targeted unfairly by Welsh Premier referees.
However, on his release from Barrow at the end of the following season, he made a surprise return to Belle Vue and has now notched 102 goals from 168 (+12) league appearances, including 10 this season.
Hunt, who completed a four-match ban last week, has missed seven games during the current campaign through suspension.
He is expected to make his debut in Tuesday night's Welsh Premier fixture at home to Airbus UK Broughton.
