Airbus v AberystwythLLANELLI took full advantage of a Friday night slip by TNS to claim the Welsh Premier summit with a 2-0 win at 10-man Newtown's Latham Park.
The Robins were reduced in numbers on 22 minutes with the dismissal of defender Damien Daniels, but it took until 11 minutes after half-time for defender Stuart Jones to open the scoring for Andy Legg's.
And the visitors only sealed the points late on with a goal from substitute Jordan Follows.
Fifth-placed Aberystwyth came a cropper at Airbus UK Broughton, after Carl Owen forced the ball home at the near post from a corner to put the Wingmakers in front on 57 minutes.
Marc Lloyd Williams grabbed the second - his 13th of the campaign - in the 78th-minute to send the home side into the top 10.
Bala and Prestatyn both consolidated their claims for a Super 12 spot, the Lakesiders beating Neath 1-0 at Maes Tegid with a goal from sub Mike Thompson in another disappointing result for Andy Dyer's big-spenders.
Prestatyn needed a late Andy Moran penalty to see-off bottom club Caersws 1-0 at Bastion Road, where the Bluebirds finished with 10-men following the dismissal of Geraint Lewis three minutes from time.
Carmarthen Town were surprisingly held at home by Technogroup Welshpool, for whom Steff Edwards equalised a Danny Thomas goal in a 1-1 draw.
The basement battle at The Traeth went the way of Porthmadog, for whom Aden Shannon scored the only goal of the game against his former club, Elements Cefn Druids.
