| Caton is January's top boss |

 BALA Town boss Colin Caton will receive the Welsh Premier League's manager of the month award for January. In his first season as a top flight manager since the Lakesiders' promotion from the Cymru Alliance last summer, Caton guided his side to away victories at Porthmadog and Caersws during January, as well as a 2-0 Welsh Cup fourth round success at home to Caersws, to set-up a quarter-final meeting with Afan Lido. Caton took over the reins at Maes Tegid in 2003 when the club was struggling in the lower reaches of the Welsh National League and gained promotion to the Cymru Alliance at the first attempt in 2004. After successive runners-up finishes in 2007 and 2008, Bala clinched the title and promotion to the top flight in 2009. The player of the month is Luke Sherbon of Aberystwyth Town, who received most man-of-the-match nominations from the opposition. |
