| Aber go third and Steelmen hit seven |

ABERYSTWYTH claimed third place with a 3-1 win at Neath, while Port Talbot hit seven past Cefn Druids in a record-breaking romp. A 7-0 victory at the GenQuip Stadium was the Steelmen's best-ever result since joining the Welsh Premier League at the turn of the century, eclipsing their 7-1 defeat of Caernarfon Town four seasons ago. And the reverse was a record-equaller for the Ancients, who have previously lost by the same scoreline at Caersws and Barry Town. Without several key defenders, including Dan Barnett, Ricky Wright, Aled Rowlands and joint boss Waynne Phillips, the Druids held out for 35 minutes before being hit by an avalanche of goals. Daniel Thomas, Lee John and Liam McCreesh with a brace all scored before half-time, with Thomas completing a hat-trick in the second-half and John also adding another to his tally. But there was more woe seven miles up the road for local rivals Neath, whose expensively-assembled side went down 3-1 at home to Aberystwyth Town. The Eagles had Luke Morgan red-carded after 40 minutes and went behind to a Bari Morgan goal for the Seasiders nine minutes after half-time. Tranmere Rovers' loanee Ryan Fraughan then grabbed his second in two games, before Geoff Kellaway quickly added the third. Carlose Castan got a late consolation for the Eagles, who lost further ground on the leading pack in sixth place.
