| Saints miss their chance to go top |

THE New Saints missed their chance to top the Welsh Premier table as they were held to a 0-0 draw at Airbus UK Broughton. The Wingmakers thought they had taken an early lead, claiming the ball had crossed the line after Rhys Roberts headed against the crossbar from a Geo Feliciello free-kick, while Tommy Holmes fired against the bar on the half-hour for the visitors. But the best chance to break the deadlock fell to the Saints' former Wingmaker Craig Jones, who fired over the target after being released by Chris Sharp with only keeper Kris Rogers to beat. Rhyl reclaimed third place by going going nap at home to Bala Town, hitting five first-half goals. Mark Connolly led the way with a brace, with Andrew Pearson, Chris Williams and Rob Turner also on target. John Toner scored a consolation goal in each half for the Lakesiders in a 5-2 defeat.
