| Ex-Rhyl midfielder joins Droylsden |

FORMER Rhyl midfielder Paul Smith has become the latest ex-Welsh Premier player to join Droylsden in Blue Square North.Smith made four (+3) domestic league appearances for Rhyl earlier this season before being released in January for disciplinary reasons. The Liverpool-born midfielder was in the Chester City youth development set-up, making his Football League debut as a 17-year-old substitute against Rochdale on 3 February 2009. He went on to make four further substitute appearances for the club during their relegation season from Football League Two and joined Rhyl in August. Ex-Rhyl defender and skipper George Horan also joined the Bloods last month, while former TNS midfielder Steven Beck and striker Kevin Townson, ex-Bangor, Druids, TNS and Welshpool frontman Carl Lamb and ex-Bangor and Nomads' defender Liam Brownhill are also at the Butcher's Arms. |
