Injury woes compound Airbus defeat

Kris RogersAIRBUS suffered several injury blows on Wednesday night as well as crashing to a 5-1 home defeat at the hands of Bangor City.
There was a 10-minute delay on the hour mark as goalkeeper Kristian Rogers (pictured) was treated on the pitch and then taken-off to be replaced by defender Gareth Sudlow.
Rogers spent the night under observation in the Countess of Chester Hospital with a suspected broken jaw and has also lost several teeth.
To compound manager Craig Harrison's woes, recent defensive signing Jamie Smith sustained a dislocated ankle and, having earlier lost Matty Woodward and Marc Lloyd Williams to first-half injuries, the Wingmakers were forced to play the final 20 minutes with 10-men.
Rogers made 40 Football League appearances for Wrexham before spells with Sheffield United and Macclesfield Town, and joined the Wingmakers in the summer from Port Talbot Town after the Steelmen signed Lee Kendall from Rhyl.
Harrison has back-up in the form of Chris Doran, who recently returned to The Airfield from Northern Ireland after making 24 Welsh Premier appearances for the club between 2007 and 2009.
