| Morley's header keeps Bangor's grip on cup |

A STOPPAGE time header from Dave Morley gave Bangor City the Welsh Cup for the third year running and a coveted place in Europe. A thrilling encounter at Parc Y Scarlets appeared to be heading for extra-time but, when Lee Hunt was brought down on the edge of the box, a left-footed curling free-kick from sub Sion Edwards was headed-in from close range by Morley to give City a 3-2 win over plucky Port Talbot. Despite building a two-goal lead inside the first quarter of an hour, City faced a second-half fightback from the Steelmen in which Drew Fahiya gave his side hope with a fierce 15-yard drive after playing a one-two with Martin Rose. And when Rose chested down a Gareth Phillips cross five minutes from time, Liam McCreesh lashed the equaliser past Paul Smith. Bangor had been gifted a sixth-minute lead when keeper Lee Kendall's howler in failing to gather a long ball from Michael Johnston allowed Hunt to roll the ball into an empty net. But City's second goal had a touch of quality, as Jamie Reed headed inside Kendall's far post from a pinpoint Peter Hoy cross. With the scores level at 2-2, Scott Barrow's goalbound shot was deflected narrowly wide of a post as Talbot looked the most likely winners but, in the next attack, Morley's header ensured the cup was staying in the Farrar Road trophy cupboard.
