AFAN Lido may appeal against their failure to gain the FAW's domestic licence if they can clinch a top-two spot in the Welsh League on Wednesday night. Lido are at home to Welsh League leaders Goytre United and a statement on the club's website says: "Depending on the outcome of tomorrow night's game at home against Goytre, we will probably take our appeal to UEFA arbitration." The other feeder club that failed to gain a licence, Cymru Alliance champions Llangefni Town, may also consider taking further action, but secretary Terry Roberts told welsh-premier.com tonight that he had heard nothing about the matter from the club's board. Both are former members of the Welsh Premier League. Lido lost their place in controversial circumstances five years ago after being docked three points for allegedly fielding a suspended player, a decision which still rankles down St Margaret's Way. Cefni had just one season in the top flight before dropping straight back into the Alliance two years ago. |
