Chris JonesBANGOR City boss Nev Powell has moved to cover the departure of striker Lee Hunt by signing Chris Jones from relegated Porthmadog.
Despite only scoring six goals, 24-year-old Jones was the leading scorer in a difficult season at The Traeth and has scored a total of 19 from his 118 (+4) Welsh Premier appearances for Porthmadog, Caernarfon and Llangefni Town.
A former Wales Under-19 and Under-20 cap who made a few appearances for Leeds United and had a loan spell at AFC Bournemouth, Jones moved to Limerick before joining Colwyn Bay.
After a few months at Llanelian Road he signed for Caernarfon but departed in the close season of 2007 to join former manager Adie Jones at Llangefni.
Following the relegation of the Anglesey outfit he then moved to Porthmadog in July 2008.
A previous target for Bangor when Steve Bleasdale was in charge, Jones will finally wear blue next season partnering another former Porthmadog favourite, Les Davies, who trod the same path to Farrar Road three years ago.
