| Deja vu as Bangor draw Honka |
| Monday 21 June 2010 |
FOR the second year running, Bangor City have been drawn to play Honka Espoo of Finland in the Europa League second qualifying round. City will be hoping to improve on last season's performance, when they lost the first leg away 2-0, before going down 1-0 at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground. The Citizens conceded a goal in each half to Joel Perovuo and Rasmus Schuller at the Tapiolan Urheilupuisto in Espoo, and then saw their chance ended after 39 minutes in Wrexham when Jamie Puustinen scored the vital away goal for the Finns. Honka are currently in mid-season, which gives them an added advantage over City, and lie in second place behind HJK Helsinki with five wins from 10 games played so far. If Port Talbot can overcome Finland's TPS in the first round they will face Cercle Brugge from Belgium in the second qualifying round, while victory over Lithuanians Tauras would see Llanelli up against APOEL Nicosia of Cyprus.
