Cardiff trialists in squad for Haverfordwest
Friday 30 July 2010
CARDIFF City will include three French trialists in an Under-18s squad to visit Haverfordwest County's New Bridge Meadow on Saturday (2.30pm).
The three - a goalkeeper, winger and striker - are expected to sign Academy trainee forms next week.
“Dave Jones called me saying he’d been tipped off about players available in France,” said Academy manager Neal Ardley.
“I wasn’t available to go out to a showcase match they were playing in France, but coach Lee Skyrme was.
“He came back with a list of about 18 players!
“We brought the three lads over. We have a young goalkeeper called Brian Martin. Kevin Sainte Luce is a quick, agile and exciting right winger, while Yannis Drais is a centre forward.”
Meanwhile, Hereford United complete their preparations for the new npower League Two season with a trip to The Gnoll to face Neath (11.45am).
