 JAKE Cassidy scored the only goal of the game as Airbus UK Broughton beat Blue Square North outfit Droylsden at The Airfield. A fine individual effort mid-way through the second half further enhanced the reputation of the 17-year-old striker, who only joined the Wingmakers this summer from Llandudno Junction. Former Rhyl and TNS wingman Luke Holden made his debut for the Bloods, alongside several other players with Welsh Premier experience, including Phil Doran (Caernarfon, Connah's Quay and Rhyl), Michael Jackson (Caernarfon, Rhyl, TNS and Welshpool), ex-Prestatyn keeper Matty Towns and former Bangor defender Liam Brownhill. Round-up Bala Town drew 1-1 at home to Woodley Sports, who took a 35th-minute lead through Scott Hogan, before Michael Thompson's cross was forced home by a trialist 20 minutes from time. Manager Darren Ryan was happy with Newtown's performance in a 5-1 win against a strong Blackpool reserves and youth side. Callum Wright netted twice and there were goals from Adam Worton, Shane Sutton and Paul Roberts. Llanelli lost their second game in 24 hours after going down 2-0 at home to AFC Telford United, Phil Trainer and Danny Carey-Bertram netted the goals for the Bucks. On Friday night, Andy Legg's side lost 1-0 to a youthful Bristol Rovers side at Stebonheath Park. Haverfordwest beat a young Cardiff City XI, Neil Thomas converting Jack Christopher’s 65th minute cross. Ricky Evans grabbed a brace for Aberystwyth in a 4-1 win at Welsh League outfit Aberaman Athletic, while Carmarthen were well-beaten by the same scoreline at Mangotsfield United.
