Boyle names squad to face England

Terry BoyleMANAGER Terry Boyle has called-up 11 Welsh Premier players in his 18-man Under-23 squad for the semi-pro friendly against England this month.
All are previously capped by Wales at this level, but two players - Luke Bowen of Port Talbot and Chris Jones of Neath - stand to win their first caps if required from the stand-by list.
The New Saints' midfielder Aeron Edwards, who has started all three matches at this level since being called into the squad 12 months ago, misses out with an injury and is replaced by Barrow's James Owen.
Wrexham striker Marc Williams, who is currently on-loan at Kidderminster Harriers, is the only other change to the squad that travelled to Portugal for the last match in the International Challenge Trophy, replaced Port Talbot's Craig Jones, who is also injured.
Three former doemstic league players now plying their trade in the Blue Square Premier are also included - Scott Barrow, who made a summer move from the Steelmen to Tamworth, Curtis McDonald (ex-Carmarthen) of Forest Green and Rob Williams (ex-TNS) of Altrincham.
Newtown's Latham Park stages the game on Tuesday 14 September (kick-off 7.30pm). Admission is £6 adults and £3 concessions.
