Ten-man Saints lose at Llanelli

Llanelli v TNS
THE New Saints were reduced to 10 men for the second game running as they went down 2-1 to Llanelli in the live TV game at Stebonheath Park.
This time defender Tommy Holmes incurred the wrath of referee Mark Whitby for retaliating to a late challenge from Chris Venables after 37 minutes.
The reigning champions had gone a goal down two minutes earlier when a long clearance downfield from keeper Craig Richards was farmed inside by Jordan Follows to Rhys Griffiths, who hammered an 18-yarder past Paul Harrison.
The Reds quickly forged further ahead after the dismissal when a Wyn Thomas right-wing cross found Owain Warlow unmarked at the far post and the ex-Lincoln City wingman netted from 10 yards.
TNS hit back immediately with a well-taken Alex Darlington goal from a Barry Hogan cross but, although Matty Williams and Matthew Berkeley both came close to a second-half equaliser, the hosts held out for a much-needed win.
