Darren RyanFORMER Newtown manager Darren Ryan says he is ready to make a comeback after taking several weeks out of the game.
Ryan stepped down as the Robins' manager just before the start of the season after almost three years in charge at Latham Park.
"I have now had a break to recharge my batteries and, after spending last week in the Pro Licence course with several of the other managers, it has renewed my appetite for the games," says Ryan, who is looking for a post in either the Welsh or English pyramid.
A well-traveller player who spent two seasons at Shrewbury Town before moving to Chester City, Stockport County and Rochdale, Ryan made 57 Football League appearances in all.
He entered the Welsh Premier with Barry Town and then TNS before a move to Merthyr Tydfil and Newport County.
After joining Carmarthen Town in the summer of 2002, he switched to Haverfordwest County a year later, leaving to join Grange Quins in 2004, and scored 43 goals from 164 appearances in the domestic league.
He gained his 'A' licence coaching qualification earlier this year.
