| Ex-Premier wingman Johnson joins the Bucks |

AFC Telford United have signed former Wrexham and Welsh Premier wingman Josh Johnson.The 29-year-old has been training with the Bucks over the last few weeks and manager Andy Sinton has now completed the deal. Johnson started his career with San Juan Jabloteh in Trinidad and Tobago where he played more than 150 times. He won a full-time contract at Wrexham after arriving for a trial in the summer of 2006, but was released from the Racecourse at the end of season 2007/8 after making 10 (+19) Football League appearances. A T&T Under-20 international who played in the 2004 Olympic qualifying series in Mexico, Johnson signed for Rhyl in August 2008 and received his first full international call-up three months later, but failed to impress at Belle Vue and was released in May 2009, joining Elements Cefn Druids in August. He returned to Trinidad in September 2009 and re-signed for San Juan Jabloteh, but was back in the Welsh Premier with Airbus UK Broughton in January 2010, completing a domestic league career total of five goals from 17 (+19) appearances. |
