Seasiders both through to last eight

Lewis CodlingBOTH of the Seasiders are through to the next stage of the Loosemores League Cup after second leg wins on Tuesday night.
Aberystwyth Town, who drew 0-0 at Richmond Park a week ago, were comfortable 3-0 home winners against Carmarthen and will now meet the winners of the Haverfordwest-Neath tie in the second round.
Former Everton youngster Lewis Codling was the Black & Greens' hero with a brace, his first goals for the club, either side of one from Luke Sherbon.
Steff Edwards found Codling unmarked after just four minutes and he lashed an unstoppable shot past Old Gold keeper Mike Lewis.
It took superb saves from home keeper Steven Cann to deny Sacha Walters and Nick Harrhy, before Sherbon's snap shot from the edge of the box made it two-nil after 26 minutes.
And Codling wrapped-up the win with a cool finish from Sherbon's chip on the hour mark.
Prestatyn Town, who drew 2-2 at Maes Tegid in the first leg, beat Bala Town 2-0 at Bastion Gardens to set-up a north Wales coast derby against Bangor City in the last eight.
Ross Stephens gave the hosts the lead with a close range effort after 12 minutes, with Lee Hunt sealing the win from the penalty spot 10 minutes before half-time, after he had been hauled down by visiting keeper Leon Bimpson.
The Lakesiders are still without a win in any competition after six games.
