STRIKER Chris Llewellyn has become the fourth Llanelli player to join Aberyswyth Town on-loan this season.Jordan Follows, Ryan Batley and Craig Richards were all loaned to the Seasiders during the first phase of the campaign and the 32-year-old Llewellyn arrives at Park Avenue aiming to get some much-needed game time after a recent long injury lay off. Capped several times by Wales, Llewellyn made more than 350 Football League appearances before joining Neath in May 2009 from Grimsby Town. He started his career by coming through the youth ranks at Norwich City before joining Bristol Rovers on loan and then Wrexham. Released during the financial administration to Hartlepool, he later returned to the Racecourse before joining Grimsby, but left midway through a two-year deal to sign for the Eagles in the Welsh Premier, scoring on his debut against Connah's Quay. But, after one season with Neath, he left The Gnoll "by mutual consent" to sign for Llanelli and has a domestic league total of 13 goals from 47 (+10) appearances. |
