Supersub Shaw rescues a point for Aberystwyth

Aberystwyth v Port Talbot SUBSTITUTE Josh Shaw came off the bench to rescue a crucial point for Aberystwyth Town at home to Port Talbot on Friday night.
A January signing for Seasiders' manager Alan Morgan, Shaw scored in the 66th-minute after Richard Greaves had put the Steelmen in front on the quarter hour.
Talbot made a bright start and were rewarded when Greaves, who had already directed a free-header straight at keeper Steve Cann, latched on to a Leigh De-Vulgt through ball to tuck his shot away.
Only a last-ditch challenge from Sion James prevented Lee John from extending the visitors' lead while Martin Rose miscued from a good position.
Both Greaves and John had good chances after the break but they were left to rue the misses when, against the run of play, sub Josh Macauley finished off a good run down the right and delivered into the box for Shaw to score.
Geoff Kellaway brought a good save from Kris Rogers in the Talbot goal and Shaw then steered another effort just wide of the target as the hosts started to control the game.
Sion James fired wide with another shot for the hosts but they were forced to settle for a point which lifts then five clear of the drop zone, while Talbot are five behind the coveted seventh spot.
