THE New Saints have signed a "ground-breaking" Welsh Premier sponsorship deal with kit suppliers Legea and shirt sponsor Fortinet.
General manager Ian Williams says the deal is worth more than £500,000 in cash and technical equipment over the next three years, under which Legea will be providing ‘bespoke’ TNS FC branded green and white and blue shirts in addition to providing a wide range of TNS branded merchandise which will be for sale at the club, online and at 'other' major UK retailers. "This is one of the biggest-ever sponsorship deals secured by a Welsh Premier League club and delivers vital sponsorship income," he added. Legea's managing director, Luigi Acanfora, says: "This is an affordable and effective platform for Legea to increase their presence in the UK marketplace as brand exposure stretches beyond the local exposure appeal to across the whole of Wales and Internationally with The New Saints being regular competitors in UEFA competitions. "Welsh Premier teams have moved on considerably. We have monitored the success of the League and realised it’s a fantastic way of promoting our brand." It is the second time that Fortinet have been shirt sponsors for The New Saints - the first deal was landed for the 2006 season. ![]() The Saints' Europa League squad pictured in the clubs' new strip. |
