Peter DoranRHYL player-boss Greg Strong is bidding to reunite the Doran twins at Belle Vue as he seeks replacements for a predicted exodus.
According to Lilywhites Online, the Lillies have put in seven days' notice for Welshpool's Peter Doran, whose brother Phil has been at Belle Vue since last summer.
Doran has already left Maesydre and is a target for Port Talbot Town boss Mark Jones, who confirmed to welsh-premier.com on Saturday that he is still interested in the 21-year-old Liverpudlian midfielder, who started his Welsh Premier career with his brother at Caernarfon Town, before both moved to Gap Connah's Quay.
Doran, who has previous experience with Leigh RMI, Walsall and Worcester City is also believed to be interesting Blue Square Premier outfit Altrincham.
A cash crisis at Rhyl is threatening the exit of several players this week.
"It is understood no players want to leave the club, but the financial package on offer between now and the end of the campaign is simply not viable for some," writes Dave Jones.
Colwyn Bay are understood to be interested in leading scorer Marc Connolly, while midfielders Greg Stones and John Leah as well as defender George Horan are believed to be weighing up their options.
Strong is chasing a Unibond League striker who was recently on the books of a Premiership club and is also in touch with League One club Oldham Athletic with a view to taking a centre-half on loan.
