| Cup holders City handed final reprise |
| Saturday 30 January 2010 |
WELSH Cup holders Bangor City have been handed a quarter-final tie against their 2008 final opponents Llanelli. City won on that occasion, 4-2 after extra-time, in a controversial showpiece at Latham Park that was marred by a pitch invasion. And, since the arrival of manager Nev Powell at Farrar Road, the Citizens have gone 15 ties without defeat, beating Welsh League Aberaman Athletic in Saturday's fourth round. The draw has thrown-up several tasty ties, with close rivals Prestatyn Town and Rhyl meeting at Bastion Road and both Welsh Premier fixtures between the clubs have ended in draws this season. Victors at Aberystwyth, Port Talbot have been handed another tough match away to The New Saints, where they have already lost in the Loosemores League Cup and the league this season. The only remaining non-top flight club, Afan Lido, have to travel to Maes Tegid to meet Bala Town.
