AT LEAST three Welsh Premier managers were delighted with their draws after reaching the last eight of the Welsh Cup on Saturday. "We’re delighted to be through and we’ve now got the best draw we could have hoped for," said manager Colin Caton after Bala Town reached the last eight for the second time in their history. The Lakesiders beat Caersws 2-0 at Maes Tegid with an early brace from Ricky Evans and now meet Welsh Leaguers Afan Lido, who dumped Gap Connah's Quay 2-1 in extra-time at their Marstons' Stadium. "It was a real sickener after seeming to be on course for a win but with only four minutes to go we should really have held them off," said Nomads' player-manager Mark McGregor. Prestatyn reached the quarter-finals for the second successive season after seeing off fellow Welsh Premier side Porthmadog 1-0 at Bastion Gardens. And Gibson could not have been happier at landing a plum clash with the league champions in the next stage. "It’s fantastic - the best draw we could have hoped for club-wise, football-wise and hopefully we’ll get a lot of people through the turnstiles," he said. Bangor City have been handed a reprise of their 2008 final victory over Llanelli and will host the Reds at Farrar Road. "It's one to savour and to have Llanelli at our place gives us a great chance to atone for our two league defeats against them this time," said manager Nev Powell. But Port Talbot have again been handed the toughest task of the round at The New Saints, after being drawn away at Aberystwyth in round four. The Steelmen have already lost at Park Hall in the League Cup semi-finals but manager Mark Jones is not pessimistic. "People will be counting us out already but don't you believe it," he said. "Anything can happen in the cup and we have shown by going to Aberystwyth and winning 2-0 that we can beat the best on the road."
